Another triple re-issue from Escape Music
Escape Music are overwhelmed to be able to announce that they have secured another triple album deal with one of the most exciting concepts in female fronted rock from the early eighties. We are talking about the Chicago band Tantrum, who had not one, but three lovely ladies fronting the band. They sang together, and then on their own, whichever, the result was devastating! If you could imagine a hybrid of Heart's and Pat Benatar harmonies mixed with the pomp and aggression of Styx (they even used John Ryan of Chicago Kid productions!), then you would not be far away. Fans of the band will know that Tantrum is famous for the song "Applaud the Winner", which appeared on a Kerrang! compilation way back in the early eighties, but more importantly because the third album was shelved days before its scheduled release. That third album "Breaking Away", one of the most famous unreleased albums of all time, is included in the package along with "Tantrum" and "Rather Be Rockin'". This is wonderful news as they are one of the most criminally underrated bands of their time. This triple release will have the full Escape treatment for re-mastering and re-packaging!
